The Saxon Bards
Saxon Bards is a brand-new group at Ferris as of 2023. It is a devised theatre team. Beginning by creating new script ideas based on prompts such as stories, videos, or pictures, students write original 2-10 minute scripts, The Bards will then rehearse and perform the scripts on the first Thursdays of the month. A Saxon Bard is a writer, actor, hard worker, and team player! The Saxon Bards are the only devised theatre troupe in the Inland Northwest.

Meet the Founder
Ferris Thespian, Kyla Gurkowski (Class of 2024), took a class on devised theatre and fell in love with it. In the spring of 2023, she pitched the idea of their own devised theatre troupe. Thus, on May 17, 2023, The Saxon Bards were born!
